Our AW'17 trends for sustainable Fashion report is going to give you an insight into the world of sustainable fashion used by the who's who of the fashion industry. From colours, styles to prints we have put up a list of things this  AW'17 trends that will help you have a sustainable wardrobe.


Colours play a very important part. The most sight after colour in the runway this season is the INDIGO BLUE, which is quite refreshing. This was used in many collections of Antonio Berardi and Temperley London. You can always pair up an indigo blue hues weaves and denim to spruce up your wardrobe.

The other colors used were saffron and honey in their designs. AW'17 trends for sustainable Fashion of Stella McCartney and Chanel included mostly Rich Reds. , Monique Lhuillier and Nina Ricci collections. While the pastel hues were mostly grey and beige.

coming to orints, the most featured one in all collections are the sleek stripes which form from head to toe. They come in contrasting combinations. Eye catchy statement motifs along faith these stripes add elegance to the look.


Paul Smith and Victoria Beckham collections featured a lot of floral and woodland detailing. The Snakeskin and fishnet are the new animal prints this AW'17 trends for sustainable Fashion.

The biggest hit this  AW'17 sustainable fashion season are the addition of masculine feature to add comfort and ease. Continuing from summer are the puffy, hanging sleeves creating focus on simple attires. Collections by Mary Katrantzou and Julien Macdonald features the shoulder trend with cut-out shoulders creating an intriguing touch.


Layering of dresses over the T-shirt were seen on Louis Vuitton, Tommy Hilfiger and Valentino. Variety of clothes in different segments go over them to create a layering effect. Flowy, long full-length dresses with asymmetrical prints made its presence felt at the AW’17 sustainable fashion week. Other famous style which made its presence felt are the Jumpsuits and flare pants.

Back on the runway are the Retro looks of the 80’s with oversized zippers, trims and hemlines just over the knees are also creating a spellbound effect on the tops and pants. Biker Jackets paired with feminine clothes is a very good choice of sustainable everyday option.

Loose fitting, masculine, oversize and comfortable clothing came into limelight at the Escada, Hermes and Cristiano Burani collection.


Skirts and Suits
Pleated skirts in Metallic hues were seen on the runway making them the go-to choice for this season. Side pleated, barely pleated and dual tone designs on skirts and suits is a popular trend. Multi-layer skirt is the latest upgrade on the fashion runway creating a buzz.


Hip pant suits with pinstripes in bright colours and printed with artistic Motifs is the ideal office wear. This creates a feminine mood to the usual male dominated outfit.


The fabric that was a major hit in the AW’17 fashion is the Velvet which was used as skirts, blouses, suits and dresses. This soft fabric is comfortable yet oozes out elegance when worn. It adds the necessary touch of sheen and glamour to any outfit in any colour. Ruffles also made its mark felt at the runway collection in John Galliano and Jill Stuart collection.


All time classic which is usually seen in most runway collection every season is the lace.Exclusive peek-a-boo lace which are thick, thin and delicate are ideal to pair it with casual tops and formal wear.


Ermanno Scervino, House of Holland and many more brands used the ever famous fur in their sustainable campaign. Multi coloured fur
as embellishments in skirts, tops and other outfits are quite enchanting. 

The hot fashion accessory that made its way into the runway this season is the Choker.

Different hued, beaded and many varieties of these chokers make for an intriguing accessory. Intriguing sculptural elements were involved in Narciso Rodriguez designs and crystal collars were featured in Givenchy.

Geometric designs and motifs embellished hand and foot accessories.Buckled cuffs and multicolored fur also made a hit this  season. Scarves in silk, fur and velvet in slim, sleek designs worn way below the waist or were worn high on the neck is a sustainable fashion trend.
